Job Location: Ras al-Khaimah, UAE

Job Description:

1. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. Identify unsafe conditions, practices, and hazards.
2. Assist the HSE Engineer in conducting risk assessments and hazard identification, ensuring all high-risk activities are adequately controlled.
3. Report accidents, incidents, and near misses. Assist the HSE Engineer in investigating causes, preparing reports, and suggesting corrective actions.
4. Ensure all employees and contractors are complying with safety regulations and using the necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Enforce safety standards consistently.
5. Conduct safety inductions for new employees and contractors. Provide ongoing safety training on specific site risks, tool handling, equipment usage, and emergency procedures.
6. Actively participate in emergency drills and ensure the emergency response procedures are followed correctly. Assist in maintaining first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment.
7. Ensure that all machinery, equipment, and tools are safe to use and that any damaged or faulty items are reported and taken out of service until repaired.
8. Work closely with the HSE Engineer, project managers, and site supervisors to ensure that safety measures are integrated into the daily work routine.
9. Ensure that all employees and contractors have access to proper PPE and that it is in good working condition. Regularly check inventory and request replenishments as needed.
10. Maintain detailed records of daily safety inspections, incident reports, and safety training. Submit reports to the HSE Engineer for further analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor's Degree or a 3-year Diploma in any discipline.
2. NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA certification, or any equivalent safety-related certification.
3. 3-6 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
4. Familiar with local UAE safety regulations and international standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001). Strong knowledge of risk management and hazard control.
