Business Development Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead initiatives in identifying new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales, deep market expertise, and exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  1. Drive new business by identifying potential clients, cross-selling, and achieving annual targets.
  2. Manage and retain the renewal base to ensure high renewal retention rates.
  3. Support departmental KPIs and prospect lead targets as assigned by your Manager.
  4. Maintain sales MIS and update data in salesforce and other data management systems.
  5. Provide timely sales reports to your reporting manager and ensure compliance with systems and procedures.
  6. Collect and record renewal information from clients effectively.
  7. Effectively coordinate with colleagues and manage activities to meet department goal(s) in accordance with established business plans and budgets to ensure delivery of timely, high-quality customer service.
  8. Assist with customer claims, queries, billing, and collections.
  9. Stay updated on products, market conditions, and competitors to maintain credibility with clients.
  10. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for effective service delivery.
  11. Monitor market dynamics to ensure efficient and effective work practices.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  4. Ability to analyze new business opportunities, research and detect problems.
  5. Confident negotiator and able to close the deal independently.
  6. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
