The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will lead comprehensive public relations efforts aimed at aligning public perceptions with the company’s objectives. This role will involve evaluating public attitudes, aligning company policies with public interests, and implementing media strategies to enhance public support and understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Licenses and Compliance: Oversee the periodic renewal of business and factory licenses. Handle interactions with JAFZA, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Economic Authority, DEWA, and other regulatory bodies.
- Regulatory Updates and Documentation: Keep HR informed about updates on labor and immigration rules and factory procedures. Ensure timely submission of documentation to the Ministry of Labor for visa applications.
- Legal Documentation and Agreements: Prepare and manage legal documents including MOA, Share Transfer Agreements, and Powers of Attorney.
- Visa Processing: Manage employee and guest visas, including new applications, renewals, and cancellations for UAE (mainly JAFZA). Obtain travel visas from UAE embassies for employee travel.
- Insurance and Registration: Oversee insurance, registration, and mortgage processes for office premises, warehouses, factories, and company vehicles.
- Representation and Support: Represent the company at Ministry of Justice, labor court, police station, customs, and other government entities as necessary. Accompany employees on exit procedures and manage documentation for employee travel.
- Employee Documentation and Support: Organize medical tests, passport processing, and resolution of fines. Renew and maintain records for employee visas, labor cards, and contracts while maintaining document confidentiality.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience: Minimum 3 years as a PRO or in an administrative role with knowledge of UAE laws and legal procedures with any discipline of graduations.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and oral.
Driver’s License: Valid UAE driver’s license is required.
Competencies: Familiar with Dubai’s regulatory bodies including JAFZA, DEWA, and Dubai Municipality. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information.
