Wade Adams, one of the largest International groups operating in the Gulf region and specialized in Infrastructure Construction, is seeking highly motivated Quantity Surveyors to join our dynamic team. Suitable candidates should have a Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience with a major contractor, preferably in the UAE, as Quantity Surveyor in the construction of Roads & Highways, Bridges, and associated civil works such as earthwork, asphalt pavement works, and underground utility services.
Major Responsibilities
- Prepare basic measurements and valuations of a project and general quantity surveying duties including measurement, valuation, and agreement of work sections.
- Submit initial quantities take-off for preparation of construction program, material orders, and value/cost projection.
- Prepare Request for Approvals and detailed measurements for Consultants' approval.
- Prepare monthly valuations.
- Keep track of labour, materials, plant, and formwork ensuring the costs are within the allowable zone and report any anomalies.
- Report costs on a monthly basis, detailing cost reconciliations.
- Measure and value new rates and variations.
- Communicate with the operations team on site on a daily basis, understanding the work programme and progress on site.
- Assist the Sr. Q.S for the preparation of claim submission details.
- Prepare subcontractors' payment certificates.
- Prepare interim applications for payment and internal valuations.
- Contract administration and settlement of subcontractors' accounts.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering from a major university with a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
Required Skills
Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills.
