Job Summary:
The CLAD Operator will be responsible for operating cladding equipment to apply protective coatings to components used in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cladding processes, welding techniques, and safety protocols. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cladding equipment to apply corrosion-resistant coatings to metal components, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Perform welding and cladding processes, including overlay by machine and manual welding.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine cladding requirements.
• Inspect and prepare surfaces for cladding, ensuring proper cleaning and alignment.
• Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Conduct post-cladding inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and project goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, performing routine maintenance as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CLAD Operator or similar role in the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in welding and cladding techniques (e.g., GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW).
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy, material properties, and corrosion-resistant coatings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and weld procedures.
• Familiarity with cladding equipment and tools, including automated and manual systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Certification in welding or cladding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in the oil and gas industry.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs.).
• Shall be ready to work in shifts as per company requirements.
