A Nurse is a healthcare professional who provides patient care, support, and education in a variety of medical settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and private practices. Nurses play a crucial role in the healthcare system, acting as the primary point of contact for patients and ensuring that they receive high-quality care. They are responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, assisting with treatments, and providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.

Key Skills of a Nurse:

1. Clinical Skills
   • Patient Assessment: Ability to assess a patient's physical and mental health through observation, listening to symptoms, taking vital signs, and reviewing medical history.
   • Medical Procedures: Proficiency in performing clinical procedures such as administering injections, taking blood samples, inserting catheters, and wound care.
   • Medication Administration: Knowledge of various medications, their dosages, and proper administration methods, including oral, intravenous, and subcutaneous routes.
   • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): Ability to perform emergency life-saving procedures, including CPR, managing airways, and using defibrillators.
2. Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving
   • Diagnostic Skills: Nurses need to be able to assess patient symptoms and work with doctors to help diagnose illnesses or conditions.

About the Job

1. Patient Care
   • Monitoring Patients: Regularly assessing and monitoring patients' conditions, including vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, etc.), pain levels, and overall well-being.
   • Administering Medications: Administering prescribed medications, monitoring for adverse reactions, and ensuring that patients understand their medication regimens.
   • Treatment Assistance: Assisting with diagnostic procedures, treatments, and therapies ordered by physicians, including wound care, physical therapy, and diagnostic tests.
   • Patient Comfort: Ensuring patient comfort and safety by addressing pain management, hygiene needs, and overall physical comfort.
2. Collaboration with Healthcare Team
   • Care Coordination: Working with other healthcare providers (doctors, physical therapists, social workers, etc.) to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.
   • Reporting Changes: Reporting any changes in a patient’s condition to the medical team, ensuring that appropriate interventions are made quickly.
   • Patient Advocacy: Ensuring that patients' wishes and needs are respected, advocating for their well-being within the healthcare system.
3. Record Keeping and Documentation
   • Charting: Keeping detailed records of patient care, including medical histories, treatments, and progress, using electronic or paper-based systems.
   • Communication: Documenting communications between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and proper treatment.
   • Legal and Ethical Documentation: Maintaining legal documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with patient confidentiality laws (e.g., HIPAA).

Minimum Requirements:

• Immediately joining (available in UAE)
• HAAD/DOH certified
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Certified in Basic Life Support
• Provide emergency treatment in the workplace.
• Administer over-the-counter medication to employees.
• Create a clean and comfortable sickbay area.
• Promote healthy eating and wellness programs.
• Document all employee injury and illness and keep this information confidential.
• Improve the health of employees through ongoing programs and health checks.
• Develop strategies to ensure maximum employee work input.
• Communicate with management on a regular basis.
