ELV Technician

Job Responsibilities

1. Install, maintain, and upgrade CCTV systems including cameras, wiring, and recording devices to ensure optimal performance.
2. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of existing systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
3. Collaborate with security teams to design and implement surveillance solutions tailored to specific site security needs.
4. Configure video management software (VMS) and integrate it with existing security infrastructure for seamless operation.
5. Train staff on the proper use of CCTV systems and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
6. Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in CCTV systems to recommend upgrades and improvements.
7. Assist in the development of security policies and procedures related to CCTV usage and data management.
8. Ensure all equipment is compliant with industry standards and regulations to maintain high-quality security practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Technical diploma or degree in Electronics, IT, or a related field is essential for understanding complex systems.
2. Proven experience of 3-5 years in CCTV installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a professional setting.
3. Certification in CCTV installation or security systems, such as from the Electronic Security Association (ESA), is preferred.
4. Experience in working with various CCTV brands and models to ensure versatility in handling different systems.
5. Knowledge of networking, IP cameras, and video analytics, showing a comprehensive understanding of modern surveillance technologies.
6. Strong problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
7. Effective communication skills to interact with clients, understand their needs, and explain technical concepts clearly.
8. Attention to detail and accuracy in installation and configuration to ensure optimal system performance.
9. Physical ability to handle equipment installation at various heights and locations, demonstrating a hands-on approach.
