Inventory Coordinator
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, transfers, and adjustments.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of inventory items.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and physical counts to reconcile discrepancies.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency and minimize loss.
- Track inventory movements and update the system accordingly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, shortages, and surplus, and report findings to management.
- Prepare inventory reports and provide insights for inventory management decisions.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory items to prevent damage or loss.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to forecast inventory needs and plan purchases.
- Respond to inventory-related inquiries from internal departments and external partners.
- Assist in the implementation of new inventory management systems or software.
- Train and support staff on inventory control processes and best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding inventory management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Coordinator, Inventory Manager, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
