Supervise mechanical teams, including technicians, fitters, and contractors, to ensure they perform tasks safely and efficiently.
Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure that project schedules are met.
Ensure proper documentation of work performed by the mechanical team.
Oversee routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, and piping systems.
Ensure timely repair of breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
Ensure proper calibration and alignment of machinery as per manufacturer guidelines.
Implement and enforce safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations, including risk assessments and hazard control measures.
Ensure that all mechanical work meets industry standards, company specifications, and client expectations.
Review and verify the quality of materials, tools, and work processes used in mechanical tasks.
Identify and diagnose issues in mechanical systems and provide solutions to minimize disruption.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for mechanical failures and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on mechanical activities, including progress, incidents, and required maintenance.
Report equipment performance and suggest improvements for efficiency and reliability.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized mechanical services, repairs, or installations.
Oversee contractor work to ensure it meets the required standards and timelines.
Manage spare parts inventory, tools, and materials required for mechanical tasks.

Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a supervisory role within the oil and gas industry, particularly in mechanical maintenance and operations.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in HSE, mechanical systems, and maintenance management would be an advantage.
