The DSV group, headquartered in Denmark, is one of the biggest transport and logistics companies in the world, with more than 75,000 dedicated employees. We are now looking to expand our solutions IT team which is a part of Global IT.

This person will be responsible for collaborating with clients to understand business needs and identify opportunities for improving warehouse operations.

Reporting Line:

Report to: General Manager, GBA Solutions IT, Global IT

Role: IT Specialist, WMS

Direct subordinates: NA

Detailed Responsibilities:

1. Working closely with clients to gather and understand business requirements, challenges, and identify improvement opportunities in warehouse operational processes and management.
2. Perform implementation activities including training, process development, workshops, testing, deployment/go-live support and documentation.
3. Working closely with Technical Consultants and Project Managers to define the total solution.
4. Maintain product, industry knowledge and skills continuously.
5. Producing full functional specifications for extensions and configuration changes and complying with Infor documentation requirements.
6. Working self-sufficiently and collaboratively to ensure team goals are achieved.
7. Design, development, implementation, and test of the WMS ref global standards.
8. Support System Integration Testing/User Acceptance Testing.
9. Provide training and guidance to users in use of WMS.
10. Identify areas of improvement.
11. Act as primary IT liaison with business functions and solution management.
12. Developing the reports based on customer expectations.

Qualifications & Characteristics:

1. At least 2 years working experience in the logistics industry with focus on Warehouse Management System.
2. MS office including Word & Excel.
3. Knowledge on Oracle SQL, PLSQL, Reports designing (Crystal Reports, Jasper, BIRT & SQL Server Reporting).
4. Attention to detail, ability to build in traceability and self-audit process.
5. Accuracy of data.
6. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or Engineering related disciplines.
7. Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills.
8. Organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and proven rapid learning capability.
9. Basic understanding of ITIL.
10. Good verbal and written communication skills in English language.
11. Ability to present technical solutions to non-technical colleagues / clients.
