Cost Control Engineer

Cost Control & Estimation:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for MEP projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
• Identify and report on any deviations or potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct value engineering analysis to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Prepare cost comparison reports for different subcontractors, materials, and construction methods.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and financial reports to ensure effective project monitoring.

Quantity Surveying:

• Conduct take-offs and quantity measurement for MEP work to ensure accurate tracking of materials and resources.
• Prepare and maintain detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and material schedules for the project.
• Manage the procurement process by obtaining competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Evaluate and process subcontractor claims for payments and ensure that they are in line with contractual agreements.
• Assist in contract administration, including variation orders, and provide input for claims management.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation for future audits and project reviews.

Tendering:

• Assist in preparing tender documents, including cost breakdowns and tender submissions for MEP works.
• Evaluate and assess the tenders received from suppliers and subcontractors for pricing competitiveness and alignment with the project scope.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of project specifications and drawings for tender purposes.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations in the preparation of tender documents.
• Support the management team in negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors and subcontractors.
