Equipment Operation: Exercises operational responsibility for a paper machine in accordance with standard operating procedures and approved safety procedures to ensure continuous and efficient operations and quality standards and meeting of line production targets.
System Performance: Monitors system performance and, under the direction of paper machine supervisor, manipulates calibrations and settings to ensure synchronization of unit stages, efficient throughput, and minimal downtime.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoots routine defects detected in rolls received from previous unit (combiner) and during the process through recalibration of setting in order to keep production downtime to a minimum and minimizing losses, escalates the more serious malfunctions to combiner supervisor.
Reporting & Documentation: Operating the wrapping software to ensure the data entry according to the production order, printing the report by the end of the shift.
Raw Materials: Reports availability of raw materials consumables against the production plan to his supervisor in order that shortages do not interrupt production.
Maintenance: Reports malfunctions and undertakes minor maintenance activities in order to optimize operating efficiency and prolong asset life and value.
Safety & Housekeeping: Ensures that the workplace is kept in a clean state and that all work is carried out in full compliance with approved occupational health and safety procedures.
What You'll Need:
1-2 years of experience in Paper/Tissue Manufacturing Industry.
Strong knowledge of operating and safety procedures and standards.
Strong knowledge and understanding of equipment and processes in his own area.
