This portfolio includes a diverse range of high-growth projects such as a crypto casino, a cutting-edge gaming distribution platform, a leading token initiative, and other groundbreaking ventures in the Web3 ecosystem.

As the Group General Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in navigating the complex legal and regulatory landscape surrounding Web3 technologies, crypto, and decentralized ecosystems. You must be either currently living in Dubai or open to a full re-location to Dubai - this is a non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Strategy & Oversight: Develop and implement the overall legal strategy for the portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and the regulatory landscape.
• Regulatory Compliance: Proactively identify and address regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, including cryptocurrency, blockchain, DeFi, and gaming sectors.
• Corporate Governance: Oversee corporate governance across the portfolio companies, including managing compliance frameworks, shareholder agreements, and board communications.
• Risk Mitigation: Anticipate and address legal risks associated with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, tokenomics, and decentralized applications.
• Transaction Support: Provide legal guidance for strategic transactions, including token launches, fundraising, partnerships, and acquisitions.
• Contracts & Negotiations: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including commercial contracts, licensing, vendor agreements, and more.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with C-suite leaders, product teams, and external legal advisors to navigate the complex legal landscape of blockchain and crypto.
• Leadership: Build and manage a small, high-performing legal team capable of scaling with the growth of the portfolio.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive Legal Expertise: 10+ years of legal experience, preferably in technology, crypto, or financial services industries, with a strong understanding of blockchain technologies and decentralized ecosystems.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep expertise in cryptocurrency and blockchain regulations, as well as familiarity with securities law, AML/KYC requirements, and gaming-related legal frameworks.
• Transactional Experience: Proven experience in managing complex transactions, including fundraising, M&A, and token launches.
• Corporate Governance: Strong knowledge of corporate structures, compliance programs, and governance best practices for high-growth organizations.
• Global Perspective: Experience working across multiple jurisdictions, with the ability to navigate varying legal and regulatory requirements.
• Strong Negotiator: Exceptional skills in negotiating complex agreements and driving favorable outcomes for the organization.
• Strategic Thinker: Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership Abilities: Proven ability to build and lead high-performing legal teams.
