IGCSE PHYSICS TEACHER
Job description
Teaching and Instruction:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective physics lessons in accordance with the IGCSE curriculum.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress regularly through assignments, tests, and examinations.
Curriculum Development:
- Contribute to the development and revision of the physics curriculum to ensure it meets the standards and requirements of the IGCSE framework.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and projects.
Student Support and Development:
- Provide individual support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Identify and address the learning needs of students, offering extra help and enrichment as needed.
- Prepare students for the IGCSE physics examinations, including organizing revision sessions and mock exams.
Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain a disciplined and productive classroom environment.
- Enforce school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Manage classroom resources and equipment effectively.
Professional Development:
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with educational best practices and developments in physics education.
- Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and school events as required.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic progress and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support school initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the school.
