Junior Procurement Engineer

Our client is a leading manufacturing firm based in Dubai looking to hire a junior procurement engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to secure the best possible deals.
2. Procurement Planning: Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to understand procurement needs and develop strategies to fulfill them.
3. Cost Analysis: Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions. Prepare cost estimates and budgets for procurement projects.
4. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all materials and equipment meet the required specifications and quality standards. Coordinate quality inspections and assessments as needed.
5. Logistics: Basic knowledge in logistics operations and documentation is mandatory.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment in UAE.
• Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of engineering materials and specifications.
  • Self-learning and proactiveness.
