Planning Engineer Oil Gas

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer with experience in the Oil & Gas industry to join our clients team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a proven track record of successful project planning and execution in the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop project plans and schedules ensuring they are aligned with project objectives and deadlines.
2. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and delays, and develop mitigation strategies.
3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project plans are accurate and achievable.
4. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify any issues that may impact project timelines.
5. Prepare progress reports and present them to project stakeholders.
6. Utilize project management software and tools to track progress and make necessary adjustments to project plans.
7. Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in project planning and execution.
9. Conduct cost analysis and budgeting to ensure project stays within budget constraints.
10. Mentor and train junior planning engineers as needed.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry with a focus on fabrication, modular building, and EPC projects.
3. Proven track record of successful project planning and execution.
4. Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
7. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
10. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
