Machine Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal production and minimize downtime. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and ensuring all equipment meets safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues, replacing or repairing parts as needed.
• Ensure timely response to breakdowns to minimize production disruptions.

Inspection and Testing:

• Inspect machinery for wear, misalignment, or other potential failures.
• Conduct regular testing of equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Report any issues and document findings accurately.

Record-Keeping and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, detailing repairs, parts used, and downtime.
• Report potential safety hazards or recurring issues to the supervisor.
• Suggest improvements to enhance machinery efficiency and reliability.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to company and industry safety standards, ensuring all work complies with OSHAD regulations.
• Wear and maintain proper PPE at all times while performing duties.
• Participate in safety training and stay up-to-date with industry safety practices.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure machines are running efficiently.
• Assist in training other technicians or operators as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement process enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical diploma or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with various tools and diagnostic equipment. Basic knowledge of electrical systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
