Marine Mechanic cum Oiler

Job Responsibilities:

1. Proven work experience as a marine mechanic.
2. Knowledge of marine engine and electrical auxiliary systems.
3. Knowledge of marine hydraulic systems and related parts.
4. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
5. Ability to work at sea.
6. Maintaining and monitoring the lubrication of all mechanical systems on the ship to ensure optimal efficiency and safety.
7. Assisting engineers with the servicing and repair of engine room machinery and equipment.
8. Performing routine checks and maintenance of the engine’s supporting systems such as oil filters and lubricating pumps.
9. Recording and reporting any abnormalities or discrepancies in machinery performance to the engineering officer.
10. Ensuring compliance with environmental policies and regulations concerning waste oil and lubricants.
