QC Inspector MEP
Job description
- Conduct inspections of mechanical installations, piping, HVAC systems, and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Perform and witness tests on mechanical systems, including pressure tests, nondestructive testing (NDT), and functional tests.
- Verify the quality of materials delivered to the site, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
- Prepare and maintain detailed inspection records and test reports.
- Review and verify quality control documents submitted by subcontractors, such as material certificates, welding records, and inspection reports.
- Prepare nonconformance reports (NCRs) for any deviations from the specifications or standards.
- Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and the client's quality representatives to resolve any quality issues.
- Attend and participate in quality meetings, providing updates on inspection activities and quality performance.
- Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out in accordance with the approved Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards (such as ASME, API, and ISO), and project-specific requirements.
- Monitor and verify the implementation of the project's Quality Management System (QMS) for mechanical works.
- Conduct audits of mechanical construction activities and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure that all inspection activities are conducted in a safe manner, adhering to HSE policies and procedures.
- Report any unsafe conditions or practices observed during inspections.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- HVAC Diploma Certification.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a QC Inspector (MEP) specifically in mechanical construction projects in the UAE or GCC region.
- Preferable ADNOC Approval profiles and immediately available to join.
