Jacobs is looking for a talented Urban Planner to join our Buildings and Infrastructure team in Dubai. Knowledge of design is acknowledged and valued, but this is not an urban design/architecture position. You will be given the opportunity to learn and work on the Urban Planning and Policy component for masterplan projects. In addition, you will also meet the following requirements:
Assist in writing Current Assessment multi-sectoral reports
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop urban planning and design solutions
Apply sustainable urban planning principles to promote environmentally responsible and resilient urban development
Prepare client presentations and content
Good knowledge of data collection and research capabilities and ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data
Ability to understand land use, context, concept and detailed maps
Experience in stakeholder coordination and policy development and governance is a plus
Understanding of planning in the MENA region, especially in the UAE
Teamwork and collaboration within a team; dedication to meet client deadlines
Here's what you'll need:
You will be a UAE national with a relevant qualification in Urban Planning from a recognized institute
You will have hands-on experience working on urban planning and delivery of notable projects in regional/global contexts
