HSE Inspector

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for site safety, health, and environment management.
• Assist with the preparation of a construction health and safety plan.
• Confirm necessary documentation was submitted to the relevant authorities.
• Attend project planning meetings and regular site technical and progress meetings; facilitate site health and safety meetings.
• Establish and maintain health and safety communication structures and systems, including the distribution of health and safety specific documents to subcontractors.
• Compile project-specific emergency response and preparedness plans.
• Test the effectiveness of the emergency response plans.
• Conduct site safety inductions.
• Oversee the reporting and investigation of project-related incidents.
• Develop technical reports related to health and safety issues and communicate through presentations to diverse groups of decision-makers.
• Client service management and internal/external client liaison.
• Ability to build and maintain a safe environment at the site.
• Experience in infrastructure project HSE supervision and management.
• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work safely.
• Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
• Maintain the health and safety environment at the workplace.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance, preferably in Pumping Station Construction rehabilitation work and Wastewater background.
• NEBOSH IGC level 3 is mandatory, along with other HSE-related diploma certifications and Abu Dhabi Public Health Center Practitioner Course.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices, particularly in the UAE & Abu Dhabi.
• Possession of a UAE Driving License.
