Role Overview
The Senior IT Manager will oversee all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure management, system security, team leadership, and alignment with business goals. This role is critical in maintaining robust IT services that support Tradeling's platform and internal systems while driving innovation and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with Tradeling's business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify technology needs and recommend solutions.
- Drive innovation to enhance operational efficiency and system capabilities.
- Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of IT infrastructure, including cloud services, on-premises systems, and networks.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of IT systems to support business growth.
- Manage hardware and software procurement processes.
- Team Management
- Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering professional growth and skill development.
- Manage workloads, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations for IT staff.
- Security & Compliance
- Ensure the organization's IT systems comply with security best practices and relevant regulations.
- Oversee the implementation of cybersecurity measures and respond to potential threats.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain relationships with external vendors, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver effective IT solutions.
- Continuous Improvement
- Monitor emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential application to Tradeling's operations.
- Regularly assess and improve IT processes and policies to align with industry standards.
- Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in FortiGate firewall configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Hands-on experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, and access points.
- Experience in managing and troubleshooting telephone systems, including VoIP.
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud services, including EC2, S3, and IAM management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and tools; certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are a plus.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in e-commerce or a fast-paced tech environment.
- Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of network management, systems architecture, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite) and integration tools is a plus.
- Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE, or similar are a plus.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac OS environments.
- Experience in managing cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
