Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a proven ability to manage the accounting functions for multiple projects within a fast-paced MEP Contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Accounting:
   • Oversee the full accounting cycle for multiple projects, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, and project profitability analysis.
   • Maintain accurate and timely project cost records, including labor, materials, subcontracts, and equipment.
   • Prepare and analyze project-level financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
   • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and track actual performance against budget.
   • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L and Balance Sheet.
   • Prepare and analyze key financial indicators and generate insightful MIS reports.
   • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
2. Cost Control:
   • Implement and monitor cost control measures to ensure project profitability.
   • Analyze variances from budget and identify areas for improvement.
   • Work closely with project managers to identify and mitigate potential cost overruns.
3. Other Responsibilities:
   • Assist with the preparation of year-end audits.
   • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
   • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
   • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures.
   • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the MEP Contracting industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
• Experience with cost accounting, project accounting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in using Tally ERP.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
