Inspects, troubleshoots, disassembles, services, rebuilds, overhauls and repairs a variety of tracked vehicle engines for AL TAIF TECHNICAL SERVICES LLC. Ensures that all tracked vehicle engine maintenance inspections, servicing, rebuilds, overhauls and repairs are accomplished in accordance with all technical manuals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Ensures the process is maintained within the latest ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards. Learns, understands and complies with applicable health, safety and environment directives. Participates in the development of a safe and healthy working environment. Ensures compliance with all company policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble, service, rebuild, overhaul and repair a variety of tracked vehicle engines.
Ensure that all tracked vehicle engine maintenance inspections, servicing, rebuilds, overhauls and repairs are accomplished in accordance with all technical manuals, KPIs and OEM specifications.
Perform quality maintenance repairs as part of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System program.
Perform tracked vehicle engine maintenance inspections to determine the extent of repair and spare parts requirements.
Perform tracked vehicle engine troubleshooting using special tools, precision measuring instruments and diagnostic test equipment.
Replace tracked vehicle engine internal components such as crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, piston rings, main bearings, camshaft bearings, connecting rod bearings, cylinder heads, and intake and exhaust valves.
Ensure all maintenance order spare parts residue is returned to the Overhaul Workshop store.
Perform tracked vehicle engine spare parts research to ensure that only required spare parts are requisitioned in the appropriate quantities.
Complete maintenance related documentation such as maintenance tasks accomplished, direct labour hours consumed, vehicle specific information, spare part request forms, etc.
Comply with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
Ensure all issued tools, uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is accounted for, maintained and secured.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
Support other members of the Overhaul Workshop in fulfilling their roles.
Perform other duties as required by the Manager, Overhaul Workshop.
Minimum Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
A minimum of one year of experience performing repair and/or overhaul of heavy duty diesel engines is required.
Previous experience or automotive diesel engine training is an advantage.
The ability to interpret complex electrical, mechanical and/or hydraulic schematics is preferred.
Previous experience using special tools, precision measuring instruments and diagnostic testing equipment is an advantage.
Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and SAP is preferred.
The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
