ALEC is currently looking for a motivated storekeeper to support our Dubai Airport project.

Purpose of Role:

To receive products, store them in the appropriate manner and issue them to the construction teams when required. To ensure the stores is a clean and safe environment to work in at all times.

Role Description:

  1. Coordinate delivery and pickup of materials to and from site.
  2. Receive and return materials to and from suppliers and other stores, including arrangement of transportation and required equipment.
  3. Orderly arrangement of materials in stores and on site if required so that all materials can be located quickly and easily, ensuring QAQC guidelines are followed.
  4. Careful storage of all materials including CRM/H&S requirements.
  5. Arrange required inspections of delivered materials including QAQC, engineers, PMs or QS’s.
  6. Distribute materials and tools and if required collect them back using correct documentation or system.
  7. Order materials or tools when they reach the minimum required level.
  8. Inventory control including updating records on stores software on a daily basis.
  9. Assist with periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.
  10. Report any damages and rectify potential hazards.
  11. Mark products using identification codes, figures or letters.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School qualification.
  • MEP stores or MEP contracting experience, preferably in the Gulf.
  • Knowledge of construction supplies.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels (verbal and written) in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Basic computer skills.
