UX Developer

Roles and responsibilities

• Lead UX Development: Direct UX development efforts across all GAC digital platforms. Design and implement high-fidelity designs, HTML and CSS templates, prototypes, and wireframes.
• Set UX Standards: Develop and maintain UX guidelines, code standards, and design systems. Ensure consistency and adherence to established standards.
• Collaborate and Guide: Work closely with Business Analysts, Designers, Developers, and stakeholders to provide UX expertise and support in solution design and development.
• Conduct UX Research: Stay updated with UX trends, perform user research, and integrate findings to enhance user experiences.
• Develop Common UX Components: Create and implement common UX components, standards, and code across the group to solve business challenges and meet customer needs.
  

Qualifications

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years in UX development, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

Technical Skills: Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). Experience with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch.

UX Skills: Expertise in developing responsive websites, creating dynamic interfaces, and conducting UX research.

Desired candidate profile

• User-Centered Design: Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies to create intuitive and engaging interfaces.

• Prototyping and Wireframing: Proficiency in tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and Axure to create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive designs.

• Interaction Design: Expertise in designing interactive elements and user flows that enhance usability and provide a seamless user experience.

• Front-End Development: Strong knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to implement designs effectively.

• Usability Testing: Experience in conducting usability tests and user research to gather feedback and iterate on designs based on user insights.

• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing user behavior and data to inform design decisions and improve user experience.

• Responsive Design: Understanding of responsive design principles to create experiences that work across various devices and screen sizes.

• Accessibility Awareness: Knowledge of accessibility standards (like WCAG) to ensure designs are inclusive and usable by people with disabilities.

• Mentorship and Leadership: Ability to mentor junior team members, provide guidance, and lead design initiatives within the team.
