The Role of Procurement Coordinator

We currently have an opportunity for a Procurement Coordinator to join our Four Seasons Corporate team in Dubai!

This role reports to our Procurement Manager and will be responsible for supporting the Manager, Procurement with assigned procurement activities with a focus on pre-opening projects in MEA and Europe. Other procurement activities relating to FS UPI scope will be assigned as capacity allows.

You will also assist Managers with all supplier follow-up activities including but not limited to pricing, sample deliveries and to log and coordinate internal review as needed. Assist in RFX preparation as directed, along with acquisition of samples when required for various cross-functional teams to review. Review vendor quotes for accuracy. Expedite Open Order reports, and update system Delivery Status as assigned. Assist with preparation of cost comparisons. Generate reports using eProcurement system. Assist Buyer and Manager with preparation of vendor price increase analysis and communication. Assist with budget information gathering and development.

Our Ideal Procurement Coordinator Will Have

  1. 1-2 years’ experience within a similar position, within hospitality.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to write clearly and effectively.
  3. Ability to work under pressure and meet various shifting deadlines in a very fast-paced environment.
  4. Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Flexible and dependable.
  6. Proficient user of Microsoft Office software, in particular PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  7. Experience and knowledge of Birchstreet Software an asset.
