Project Manager - Civil/mechanical Engineering

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to handle a Central SCADA upgrade project with TAQA SWS involving several control centres, Pumping Stations & Sewerage treatment plants across the Abu Dhabi & Al Ain area.

Responsibilities:

1. Communicates with clients & consultants and collaborates with sub-contractors, engineers, and other specialists & staff to deliver project progress reports.
2. Manage project activities through the application of technical engineering planning, principles and techniques.
3. Direct and manage project planning and execution from beginning to end.
4. Leads and provides professional and project management expertise.
5. Review project deliverables including writing technical reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.
6. Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
7. Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
8. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
9. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
10. Develops and adheres to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan.
11. Ensures that all local, state, and national building codes and regulations and safety precautions are strictly followed.
12. Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
13. Reviewing the project in depth to determine all the milestones are planned and executed according to works program. Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines shall be met.
14. Ensures & effectively assesses, signs off and approves Payment Certificates.
15. Supervise the work of Staff & laborers, etc. and give them guidance when needed.
16. Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
17. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
18. Review and maintain the project cash flow.
19. Maintain close coordination between all the stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Experience in water infrastructure, sewers, water pipelines, wastewater treatment plants, and water reservoirs.
2. Min 10 years of proven working experience as a project manager in the field of Sewer pipelines and Wastewater treatment & overall 15-18 years of experience.
3. The ability to manage a heavy workload, with close attention to detail.
4. Well acquainted with ADDC, ADCD, ADSSC and MCC.
5. Experience in projects with ADSSC and other government entities.
6. Strong team working capabilities. Committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis.
7. A proactive approach, working effectively in coordinating activities and complex tasks, taking professional responsibility in all matters.
8. Proficiency in English.
9. B.S. in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
10. Abu Dhabi Experience is preferable.
11. Knowledge of project expediting and logistics coordination.
12. Strong organizational and communication skills.
13. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
14. Able to join IMMEDIATELY (preferable).
