Overview of the job

As a Geopolitical Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing valuable insights and assessments on international political developments, security issues, and global trends. Your work will inform strategic decisions, risk assessments, and policy recommendations for organizations, government agencies, or corporations operating in the global arena. This role requires a deep understanding of geopolitics, international relations, and the ability to analyze complex data to predict and respond to global events.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on geopolitical events, international relations, and global trends. Analyze information from various sources, including news reports, academic studies, and government documents, to develop comprehensive assessments.
  2. Risk Assessment: Evaluate economic, political, and security risks in different regions of the world. Provide timely and accurate assessments of potential risks and their impact on organizational interests.
  3. Trend Monitoring: Continuously monitor and track global trends, including political, economic, social, and environmental factors. Identify emerging trends that may have strategic implications.
  4. Scenario Planning: Develop scenarios and forecasts to anticipate potential geopolitical developments. Assist in strategic planning by providing insights into possible future outcomes.
  5. Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations that communicate geopolitical analyses and recommendations to key stakeholders, including senior management and decision-makers.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with ERIU teams to provide holistic assessments of geopolitical risks and opportunities.
  7. Policy Recommendations: Provide actionable policy recommendations based on geopolitical analysis to support decision-making processes.
  8. Crisis Response: Assist in crisis response efforts by providing real-time analysis and updates during geopolitical crises or events with significant international implications.

Qualification and Experience

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in economics, research, or any other related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role.
