Job description

A leading national-level UAE-based bank is looking to permanently hire (in-house permanent role not through a third-party) a Relationship Manager or a Senior Relationship Manager in its premium consumer banking division. A successful candidate shall have the following experience and will be responsible for the following:

  • Generate new business to achieve defined sales targets in all WM products;
  • Build and deepen relationships with existing WM customers to achieve an increase in share of wallet and revenues;
  • Handle a portfolio of customers who are of a higher and more sensitive nature;
  • Assessment of the quality potential and profitability of new relationships as well as the existing portfolio;
  • Ensure that the service standards of WM are met and maintained and nil undesirable business is sourced;
  • Provide truly professional customer service to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and retention;
  • Ensure proper documentation is done across products and timely drawdown;
  • Have CISI Level 3 certification or clear this certification before the stipulated deadline;
  • Update customers on the global economic policies and trends; be abreast with information on equities, bonds, commodities, futures, options, indices, bullion, and derivatives;
  • Offer products that suit a customer's risk profile and appetite;
  • Be fully abreast with the market competition to provide information to the customer on products without any bias;
  • Manage an incremental portfolio of relationships; liabilities, AUM, and assets;
  • Advise and promote Mortgage SME business and other businesses of the bank and refer potential cases to the respective business;
  • Be fully aware of the entire product and service range available in the WM programme and keep abreast of market developments both global as well as local;
  • Ensure that the business is booked as per laid down procedures and guidelines and due diligence is carried out with respect to money laundering and other regulatory requirements;
  • Provide necessary MIS as per schedule and set formats advised by your Manager to monitor and track performances related to Sales and Contact Management;
  • Review KYC after fully understanding and researching customer business and background to ensure that no laundered money reaches our counters and promptly report to Controls Unit any suspicious transactions or trends in customers' portfolios;
  • Adhere to all the laid guidelines on the flexi working hours. Carefully read and understand the dos and don'ts and comply with the same;
  • Ensure portfolio coverage at least once in a 60-day cycle in terms of a Face-to-Face meeting;
  • Attend team meetings for performance reviews as per schedule decided and nominated;
  • Ensure that all the trainings and certifications (Internal and External) are attended and cleared/passed;
  • Ensure NTB acquisition through Corporate presentations, events, etc.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years or more of experience in a similar role relationship management of premium/elite clients;
  • Business development and continuous development and growth of a portfolio of premium/elite/wealthy clients;
  • CISI Level 3 Certification;
  • UAE Rules and Regulations Certification;
  • Valid UAE driving license is a must.
