Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Interacts with management and staff, and the client for appropriate coordination, communication, and documentation related to quality management and HSE activities.
  2. Conducts periodic internal audits of various departments to evaluate conformance to established procedures, and to evaluate the effectiveness of those procedures.
  3. Develops and conducts seminars and other educational programs designed to prevent errors or other deficiencies in the planning, design, construction and quality management & HSE programs.
  4. Assists as necessary organizational departments in the evaluation and correction of specific quality control & HSE problems and issues.
  5. Conducts periodic management assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the organization.
  6. Defines and monitors audit activities to assure that these follow the quality standards established for the organization. Ensures sufficient acceptable documentation is being recorded, maintained, distributed, and retained.
  7. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards and the best technical practice within the different departments in the organization.
  8. Enforces quality assurance and HSE standards as per On Time Group, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and industry-related quality standards.
  9. Reviews all reports prepared by subordinates and prepares periodic reports with respect to the QA & HSE Department activities and achievements to be submitted to the CEO.
  10. Monitors the QA Department performance (managerial and financial) against pre-set performance goals to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction and preventive/ corrective actions are taken accordingly.
  11. Manages the QA & HSE Department staff through coaching and training to improve performance and to achieve the department's objectives and responsibilities.
  12. Liaises with certification body and external auditor.
  13. Reports to top management on the performance of the Quality & HSE Management System.
  14. Conducts scheduled and spot audits. Provides feedback to Department Managers with recommendations for change. Ensures recommendations once agreed are implemented.
  15. Monitors and analyzes performance statistics and investigates root causes of failures, thus recommending improvements to drive continual improvement.
  16. Analyzes processes to ensure waste is eliminated and identifies key areas of the business where process initiatives can enhance quality and performance.
  17. Manages the Local Quality Representative (LQR) program and ensures that LQRs are constantly guided and trained to drive quality in their locations, thus keeping in mind the commitment to Quality set by the organization.
  18. Provides expertise by ensuring the right training is conducted for all employees that will improve the awareness of ISO and its requirements.
