HSE Officer (Infrastructure construction/Sewerage Field work)

Description:

The role involves working on projects associated with Stormwater & Drainage, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks, and Water distribution networks Pumping Station, Recycling Plant. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration, and construction supervising & monitoring.

This role will be based in Abu Dhabi.

Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

1. Responsible for overall site safety, health, and environment management.
2. Prepare site safety plan & procedures and implement safety policy.
3. Conduct safety meetings at least once every month and conduct the site safety audit and report that to the management.
4. Health and safety supervisors conduct safety training and other necessary training as fit by the management.
5. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and document them for reference. Consult with workers and management on the best approach to deliver a safe working environment for all workers.
6. Conduct risk assessment program for the site work activities.
7. Conduct audits for the site, contractor, and sub-contractor, raise NCR, accident, and incident reports.
8. Client Service Management and internal and external client liaison.
9. Ability to build and maintain a safety environment at the site.
10. Experience in infra project HSE supervision management.
11. Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
12. Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
13. Maintain the health and safety environment at the workplace.
14. Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum Ten (10) years of experience in a safety role.
• Experience with infrastructure construction/ sewerage field work.
• Certification in NEBOSH General/ Construction Certificate or equivalent, OSHAD - Qudorat official Registration.
• SWS experience is preferred.
