Emergency Medical Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Operate ambulance in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and regulations
• Respond to emergency calls promptly and assess patient's condition
• Provide basic life support and emergency medical care to patients en route to hospital
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical personnel, and patients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of ambulance and medical supplies
• Document all patient information accurately and timely
• Assist in lifting and transferring patients onto stretchers and into ambulance
• Ensure ambulance is stocked with necessary equipment and supplies for each shift
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on medical procedures and protocols
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Desired Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic
• 2+ years of experience driving emergency vehicles
• Fluency in English and proficiency in medical terminology
• Strong technical skills in operating ambulance equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Physical fitness and stamina to lift and move patients as needed
