General Information About the Institution

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is an independent co-educational institution of higher education that provides an integrated American-style undergraduate and graduate education. All programs are accredited by the Ministry of Education of the UAE; additionally, it is accredited by the U.S. regional accreditation association, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). AURAK is located in Ras Al Khaimah, one of the Northern Emirates and a rapidly growing region.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

The Hostel Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hostel. He will work closely with the assistant manager of finance to ensure financial accuracy and compliance and manage all financial transactions and reporting. Additionally, they will provide financial guidance and support to the hostel team.

Minimum Qualification and Education

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or Finance.

Desirable: ACCA, CPA, or CMA.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in a large organization, preferably in the education sector.

Language Proficiency Required

Advanced proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
