Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager (Arabic) to join our dynamic team at Al Khayyat Investments. As a Procurement Manager, you will oversee and manage the procurement function within the company. The primary goal is to ensure that the organisation obtains the necessary goods and services in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner, while maintaining high quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Drafting procurement policies, procedures and processes.
  2. Implementing strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. This involves identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing the supply chain, and ensuring the procurement function supports the overall business strategy.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with the suppliers to ensure the organization has a reliable and high-quality supply of goods and services. This includes supplier selection, negotiation of contracts and terms, performance evaluation, and managing any issues or disputes that may arise.
  4. Oversee the creation, review, and management of contracts with suppliers. This involves ensuring contracts are legally sound, negotiating favourable terms and conditions, monitoring contract compliance, and managing contract renewals and terminations.
  5. Digitization and automation of the procurement process by implementing appropriate procurement systems and technologies.
  6. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement costs without compromising quality or service. This includes price analysis, negotiating competitive pricing, implementing cost-control measures, and monitoring budget adherence.
  7. Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities. This includes ensuring supplier compliance with ethical and legal standards and developing contingency plans for supply disruptions.
  8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as BU Heads, Department Heads, and Project Managers, to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance and support.
  9. Setting up a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with suppliers. Identify the specific performance metrics that will be used to measure the supplier's performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or any related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  2. 10+ years of experience in procurement specifically in trading, marketing, IT, and Fit out.
  3. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  4. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, best practices, and industry trends.
  5. Proven track record of successfully managing procurement activities and delivering cost savings.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  8. High emotional intelligence, good convincing skills.
  9. Good leadership and management skills.
  10. Fluent in English & Arabic languages.
  11. With valid UAE driving license.

Work Environment: Office, DIP 1 / Dubai Industrial City (DIC)
