Project Controls Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, considering scope, resources, and timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to create realistic and achievable project timelines.
• Assist in developing accurate cost estimates for energy projects.
• Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Develop risk management plans and collaborate with project teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Implement project control tools and systems to monitor project performance.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project health and identify areas for improvement.
• Integrate project control functions with cost control systems, ensuring alignment with financial reporting requirements.
• Provide input for financial forecasts and variance analysis.
• Work with contract managers to ensure that contractual obligations are met.
• Monitor contractor performance and adherence to project schedules.
• Analyze project control processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Relevant certification in project management or project controls (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with energy industry regulations and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
