Senior Planning Manager - FITOUT

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Planning Manager to provide a support function on a project/projects ensuring all Project Controls & Planning requirements of site management are maintained.

Core Job Functions

Prepare Programmes

1. Set up project calendar
2. Set up Activities and Coding with construction managers
3. Set up resource requirements using ALEC standard outputs
4. Sequence & link the required activities, within given milestones.
5. Establish the critical path through the programme
6. Prepare information schedule in conjunction with construction manager
7. Prepare subcontract appointment schedule with construction manager

Progress monitoring and updates

1. Regular progress recording on site of actual progress
2. Record & report actual progress against target programme
3. Preparation of required reports for construction managers
4. Interpret data and identify bottlenecks with construction manager
5. Predict completion dates and prepare “Look-ahead” reports

Monitor resources and Key Performance Index items (KPI’s)

1. Create baseline resource curves
2. Record actual against planned on resource curves & KPI’s
3. Create records of actual progress of KPI’s
4. Liaise with construction managers regarding resource requirements

Sub Contractor programmes

1. Ensure subcontract programmes are in line with site requirements
2. Examine and report on subcontract programmes
3. Monitor subcontract work against programmes
4. Report on subcontract progress to construction managers

Working Programmes

1. Establish working programme requirements with construction managers
2. Prepare working programmes in consultation with site supervision
3. Monitor & report on working programmes
4. Revise working programmes where required by construction managers

Delay analysis

1. Record delay items and link to relevant programme activities
2. Prepare Delay Impacts and establish effect of delay items on programme
3. Suggest recovery methods in conjunction with construction managers
4. Assist Commercial Manager with delay reporting and claims

Weekly / Monthly Reporting to Client / Engineer

1. From progress records and updates, prepare regular reports as required in terms of the contract for the Client / Engineer
2. Attend progress meetings as required by the construction manager, and report on progress as required.

Requirements

1. Engineering or Building Degree or equivalent
2. 10 years as Project Planning Manager in the FITOUT industry
