Preparation and following up on requests for quotations, analyze received quotations, and negotiate to secure the best possible deal with specialist subcontractors or suppliers.
Conducting a comprehensive review of the tender by analyzing the tender documents, managing discrepancies, and coordinating with relevant departments and team members.
Identify potential areas for value engineering by analyzing the tender document.
Preparation of design and build proposals that incorporate cost-effective design concepts aligned with the employer's requirements.
Resolution of contradictions and ambiguities arising throughout the tender review, quantification process, and the subcontractors or suppliers RFIs.
Manage tender addenda to ensure their incorporation into the tender pricing.
Analyze the project configuration and collaborate with the construction team to identify the staff deployment, logistic, and authorities requirements.
Ensure accurate pricing for materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources by collaborating with the procurement department, adhering to the RFQ process, and fostering strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Creating estimate file in CCS Software incorporating bid profiling, analyzing and addressing deficiencies in the Engineer-provided BOQ, and implementing necessary BOQ adjustments.
Preparation of the Tender Submittal in accordance with the Tender Requirements.
Undertaking the post-tender process to ensure thorough issue resolution, maintain document integrity, and support bid winning efforts.
Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or civil engineering.
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required for the Senior Estimator position and 2 years for the Estimator position, both in a UAE-based main contracting company.
Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Excellent research, English proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.
Strong MS Office skills and demonstrable competency with CCS Candy.
