Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive E-Commerce Specialist on behalf of our client to manage the digital presence and operational performance of online platforms and marketplaces across the Middle East, Africa, and India. This role focuses on optimizing platform functionality, enhancing user experience, refining the online shopping journey, coordinating merchandising strategies, and aligning omnichannel campaigns to ensure localised and seamless customer engagement. Retail experiance is essential for this role.

You will be overseeing day-to-day management of e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces, ensuring smooth navigation, accurate product listings, and an engaging user experience. Implement merchandising updates, promotional animations, and feature enhancements in coordination with marketing and product teams. Optimize the use of personalization tools to enhance customer engagement and improve business outcomes.

Manage platform development roadmaps, coordinating with IT teams and third-party vendors to implement new features and functionality.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in e-commerce platform management, site operations, and feature enhancements.
  • In-depth knowledge of merchandising strategies, inventory prioritization, and seasonal product planning.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI best practices and data-driven optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools for performance tracking and business intelligence reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and external partners.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce, merchandising, or marketplace operations, ideally within the retail, fashion, or consumer goods industries.
  • Background in managing platform roadmaps, merchandising execution, or marketplace accounts is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in regional localization and personalization strategies, ensuring alignment with global brand standards.
  • Preferable: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Commerce, or a related field; a Master’s degree in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, or Business Analytics is a plus.
