Basic medical degree and completion of a recognised higher professional education program in Neurology with sub-specialty in Neurophysiology.
Certification of a higher professional education recognised by Dubai Health Authority (DHA): CCT or American Board Certification, or an equivalent.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience at a consultant level.
Proven experience in managing epilepsies.
Experience in nerve conduction studies is mandatory.
Must be competent in reading and interpreting EEGs and EMGs.
Must be comfortable in managing acute stroke cases.
Must have good interpersonal skills and should be able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Must be confident to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other hospital staff.
Proficiency in electronic medical record system is expected of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive consultant level quality patient care in Neurology and Neurophysiology.
Participate in activities and opportunities to promote and enhance the neurology services and the Hospital to the general public and wider medical community of Dubai and the UAE.
Contribute to the educational activities of the Medical Staff as a whole.
Conduct Clinical Audits in line with Medical Advisory Committee requirements.
Review and participate in planning activities relevant to the development of the neurology and neurophysiology services.
Fulfill professional requirements for continuing maintenance of competence in all aspects of Neurology.
