We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead business development efforts within the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hotel sales, revenue generation, and relationship management across Government, Corporate, MICE, Wholesale, and Sports segments. This role requires strong market knowledge of the UAE, GCC, and international feeder markets.
Desired Candidate Profile
Sales & Business Development
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue for rooms, meetings, and events.
Identify and acquire new business from Government, Corporate, Sports, and Wholesale segments.
Strengthen relationships with destination management companies, travel agencies, and corporate clients.
Maintain a strong pipeline of potential business opportunities to achieve revenue targets.
Lead negotiations and contract discussions with key accounts and travel management companies.
Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify business opportunities.
Expand client base in key feeder markets, including UAE, GCC, UK, Europe, Southeast Asia, Russia, and CIS countries.
Develop sales strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue across all hotel facilities.
Relationship & Account Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams (Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations) to optimize sales strategies.
Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions.
Leadership & Performance Management
Monitor and evaluate sales performance to ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded.
Train, mentor, and guide junior sales team members to enhance productivity and client engagement.
Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in hotel sales and business development.
Strong understanding of revenue management principles, hotel operations, and sales processes.
Proven ability to generate revenue and increase market share.
Strong network and relationships within UAE/GCC corporate and government sectors.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience with hotel sales software such as Opera, Oasys, CVENT, or similar systems.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with pre-opening hotels and market penetration strategies.
