Job Description:
- Supervise and manage the company’s fleet operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring vehicle usage.
- Ensure timely maintenance and repairs of all vehicles and machinery to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all manufacturing equipment, vehicles, and tools.
- Track vehicle performance, mileage, and fuel consumption, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure that all fleet operations and maintenance activities comply with local regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety checks and audits of equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanics, technicians, and drivers, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Conduct training programs for team members on safety protocols, equipment handling, and maintenance procedures.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, ensuring availability for timely repairs.
- Prepare and monitor daily maintenance logs, vehicle in-and-out sheets, and vehicle handover forms.
- Supervise mechanics to ensure maintenance work is performed efficiently and according to proper techniques and procedures.
- Coordinate and prepare vehicles for government inspections and ensure compliance with passing requirements.
- Inspect vehicles upon receipt from deployment and report any damages identified.
- Monitor and manage overtime sheets for vehicle mechanics daily.
- Ensure VIP vehicles are cleaned, maintained, and ready for use, securing appropriate authorizations as needed.
- Coordinate with delivery and export sections for maintenance requests and vehicle renewals.
- Monitor and update traffic fine details and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Oversee preventive maintenance and reporting for forklifts.
- Ensure adherence to company guidelines on maintenance, accident prevention, fuel efficiency, and driving behaviors.
- Collect new vehicle registration cards, distribute them to drivers, and retrieve expired cards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fleet and maintenance management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance, repair techniques, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using fleet management and maintenance software.
- Certification in fleet management or maintenance operations is a plus.
