Job Purpose
The Junior Payroll Accountant is responsible for managing the monthly payroll activities for various entities which includes data inputting, payment generation, payroll reports, and reconciling all payroll-related accounts. Resolve payroll issues and problems and ensure validity, accuracy, and completeness of payroll. Work alongside the Payroll Accountant to update the actuals in the various monthly payroll matrices and develop its content. Assist in the preparation of both the Budgeting and Forecasting of all payroll-related accounts. Attend monthly meetings with the various VPs in the Business to review Manpower costs, highlighting variance between Budget and Forecast. The individual will be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize workload in an effective and efficient manner.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare the Monthly payroll for review by Management.
- Ensure payroll deadlines are met with accuracy.
- Upload Payroll Files into the bank for disbursement.
- Post the monthly Payroll to relevant Departments ensuring relevant Balance sheet accounts are reconciled.
- Maintain the several Payroll Matrices, updating allocations, joiners, and leavers, and discuss in Monthly meetings with VPs.
- Prepare all the Payroll related costs during the Budgeting process.
- Update all the Payroll related costs during the Quarterly Forecast.
- Maintain good working relationships within the wider business whilst remaining discreet.
Job Context:
Work closely with the Payroll Accountant, Finance Manager, and VPs ensuring accurate Budgeting and Forecasting of payroll-related costs.
Qualification, Experience & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Recognized accounting qualification.
Minimum Experience: 3 years.
