Timely and high quality preparation of the monthly financial close information of our Pakistani Joint Venture, in accordance with US GAAP; includes understanding and reviewing all necessary journal entries, analyzing cost and P&L variances and reviewing key metrics
Perform monthly traders estimate vs actual reconciliation
Prepare monthly management reporting
Recording of incoming and outgoing invoices and bank transactions
Daily reconciliation of Pakistan JV bank accounts
Manage accounts receivables and payables. This includes reviewing all reconciliations, allocations of incoming payments, follow up on outstanding debtors, manage credit limit, overdue accounts as well as ensuring that all invoices are posted to INPOSIA
Supporting the Credit and Collection team in Hamburg, Germany, providing necessary info about our customers credit risk
Recording of accruals on goods received not invoiced as well as on services received not invoiced including a weekly reconciliation of these
Reconciling of inventory balances against warehouse confirmations
Issuing additional VAT invoice on all USD collections
Monitoring and maintaining the FX position
Ongoing monitoring and managing of the default risk of local customers
Finalize and analyze balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with related SOPs as part of the internal control system
Opportunity to understand and apply various US GAAP accounting standards and ADM policies, including those related to fair value measurement (FAS 157, ASC820), inventory valuation, foreign currency, and Intercompany
Regular communication and interaction with local Commercial management as well as Leadership of AG Services Global Trade
Be contact person for external / internal audit, and prepare for audits by providing auditors with list of requested reports or documentation
Support tax team that local reporting requirements (VAT, income tax, statutory filings etc) are met
The Candidate
Bachelor degree or higher in business administration with emphasis on Controlling and / or Accounting
6 or more years of relevant finance & accounting work experience within an international organization
Working experience abroad would be strongly preferred
Good technical accounting skills of Local- and US-GAAP
Strong analytical abilities, initiative and problem solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills (in Urdu and English) as well as ability to interface with various intercultural levels of office and operational management
Ability to meet demanding deadlines without compromising quality and completeness.
Ability to function independently as well as in a team environment
Positive, ‘can do’ hands on attitude
Excellent user knowledge in MS-Office
