Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- ADDC Competency Certificate for Switching HV and MV Switchgears
- 6 to 8 years of experience in Operating and Maintaining Electrical Equipment comprising of High Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgears, Medium Voltage and Low Voltage -VFDS and SS, UPS and Battery Charger and LV Control Panels.
Job Objective:
Carries out preventive and breakdown maintenance for all assigned electrical equipment, as tasked by the supervisor in compliance with the Work Order Force -SAP system in the most efficient duration to ensure minimal downtime. He will also participate in the learning and improvement loop organized by the Supervisor and Line Manager.
Maintenance Strategy:
Provide necessary information and feedback to Supervisors when required.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Perform preventive maintenance for the electrical equipment in plants according to established schedule and maintenance cycle.
- Communicate major maintenance requirements to the supervisor to schedule corrective maintenance within the suggested timeframe.
Corrective Maintenance:
- Respond to faults and failures reported in plants, electrical equipment, through the work order system; visit sites to inspect, troubleshoot, and correct the fault as per supervisor instructions/schedule.
Electrical Job Requirements:
- Test, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical equipment (High Voltage / Medium Voltage / Low Voltage) using tools and instruments to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Carry out duties as per standards and under the guidance of the site supervisor, reporting abnormal situations in a timely manner.
- Teamwork and efficiency of job performance towards customer satisfaction.
- Be available on call to work 24/7 for emergency needs and shutdown activities.
- Be responsible for the safe custody & maintenance of equipment, tools, spare parts, and materials provided by the Company for work purposes.
- Notice problems and develop options for potential solutions and assist Team members/Technicians beyond regular position requirements.
- Ability to read as-built and electrical schematic drawings with excellence in troubleshooting skills.
- Active involvement in new projects, upgrades, and retrofit works.
- Follow proper PTW/work order and required procedures before any maintenance.
Execution of the Maintenance Schedule:
- Support Supervisor for execution of all plant maintenance activities in the assigned area to ensure reliability and continuity of operations.
- Execute the daily work review - work assignment along with the team as per schedule.
- Establish successful communication/feedback with Supervisor and involve in technical discussions.
- Resolve emergencies with the team based on the instructions of the Supervisor.
Contractor Management:
Supervise contractor’s works at site and provide feedback on contractor performance to supervisor.
Reporting:
- Ensure the system is updated at the end of every day related to works and work orders, submission of timesheet, and usage of Digital Tablets.
- Feed required information by Work Order system through service reports to ensure the maintenance of an updated system at all times.
Learning & Improvement:
- Provide necessary information and feedback about learning and improvement to the supervisor as required.
- Participate as an SME in learning and improvement teams organized by the Supervisor/Talent Management.
Budget & Control:
Ensure works are completed within the planned time frame keeping in mind the cost and yearly budget.
Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls.
- Support and ensure adherence to the Company’s IMS policies and guidelines.
- PTW and Work Safety to be strictly adhered to.
Team Development & Training:
Ensure competency gaps are identified and propose training requirements.
Policies and Procedures:
Follow all relevant Department/Unit policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions.
