Job descriptionWe currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC for an:
Electrical Supervisor (HV Cable Laying)Job Purpose:This position is a unique opportunity for you to work on DEWA Substations Projects and be responsible for Supervising the departmental / contracts site works of 11 kV, and 33kV Substation installation & Commissioning in order to ensure quality & Safety and timely completion of Projects.
Your main duties will be to:- Receive new job orders from planning section and allot to contractors.
- Study the CAR with ring diagram & understand NOC drawings.
- Prepare Weekly and daily plan for cable laying & excavation target.
- Provide necessary NOCs and all related documents to contractor. Ensure closure of job order on SAP system.
- Ensure that materials reconciliations, manpower/vehicle time sheets and necessary updates are completed. Certify invoices submitted by contractors.
- Arrange coordination meetings with contractors for weekly cable laying progress planning as per contractual targets and monitor progress daily to achieve weekly targets.
- Coordinate with roads & Transport authority, Dubai Municipality, developer and other agencies to resolve site issues. Attend and coordinate with internal DEWA departments to ensure smooth job completion.
- Ensure non-disclosure of confidential information during or after employment in DEWA.
- Follow and adhere to the OH&S Management System Manual as per DEWA's safety standards.
- Manage issue and return of material from DEWA stores to contractors. Verify/inspect materials reconciliation monthly and forward reports to section/Department head.
- Certify as-built drawings of completed works for GIS updation and for final completion certificate from Roads and Transport Authority.
- Conduct site visits to ensure quality and safety procedures are followed. Ensure jobs are executed by contractors according to DEWA technical/standards specification and achieve targets and KPIs on time. Calculate delay penalties and liquidated damages, if applicable, and forward to accounts department/legal advisor for deduction. Participate in conducting inspection of materials and equipment before dispatch clearance.
ProfileIdeally, you will have graduated in Electrical Engineering with a minimum experience of 3 years in HV Cable Laying works, Underground utilities, and infrastructure works for substations.
You are fluent in English.
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
