The Chief Financial Officer will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, driving financial planning, operational excellence, and long-term growth. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including overseeing financial performance, managing operational processes, and leading digital transformation to ensure efficient, innovative business practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals.
Oversee all accounting, finance, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
Evaluate financial performance against long-term goals, budgets, and forecasts.
Manage financial reporting, including business plans, budgets, forecasts, and internal management statements.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulations, including tax policies and statutory requirements.
Maintain relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
Operational Excellence:
Streamline and oversee critical operations, including payroll processing, customer service, and claims management.
Identify, acquire, and implement systems and software to enhance financial and operational reporting.
Ensure the smooth delivery of key operational processes, including card ordering, salary processing, and turnaround time for services.
Develop and enforce processes and standards to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Risk & Treasury Management:
Monitor cash flow and maintain company liquidity.
Manage treasury functions, including cash system development and banking relationships.
Evaluate and mitigate financial risks while optimizing financing conditions.
Digital Transformation:
Lead automation initiatives to optimize time-consuming, low-value tasks.
Support digitalization across operations to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
Internal Control & Governance:
Develop and monitor internal controls and compliance processes.
Direct audits and reviews of organizational procedures, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.
Optimize performance through effective risk management, control, and governance practices.
Strategic Advisory:
Provide insights on long-term financial planning, new initiatives, and regulatory actions.
Develop strategies to optimize revenues and control costs by analyzing operations and identifying improvement opportunities.
Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the CFO of the regional division.
Dotted-line reporting to the CEO of the Middle East region.
Education:
Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
10+ years in finance and accounting, with expertise in IFRS standards and group reporting.
Proven experience in budgeting, consolidation, and financial audits.
Familiarity with local statutory and tax requirements.
Track record of managing complex financial scenarios and driving operational efficiency.
Experience in the financial services sector is highly desirable.
