Job Description: As a Procurement Officer you will be responsible for managing the purchasing activities of our organization. You will work with suppliers to obtain the best terms, ensure timely delivery of goods, and maintain a high standard of quality in procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organization's needs.
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
Ensure goods and services are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Monitor inventory levels to determine purchasing needs.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other essential data.
Work closely with internal teams to forecast supply requirements.
Analyze market trends to identify pricing and supply chain opportunities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
Certification in procurement (e.g. CIPS) is a plus.
