Inventory Controller

Job Responsibilities

1. In conjunction with the Provision Master, provides analysis of F&B stores consumption to handle the ordering of Food and Beverage as exact as possible.
2. Input in the computer all PO, invoices, inventories, and stocks received.
3. Maintain the food inventory updated on a daily basis in cooperation with the Provision Master.
4. Carry out spot-checks on the restaurant and Central Kitchen rotating stock-takes.
5. Carry out checks on storing operations on the pier.
6. Input in the computer all the requisitions.
7. Control and ensure that not a single item leaves the stores without requisition.
8. Account for any stock transfer between onboard locations.
9. Input physical bar stock counts into the computer system and analyze results highlighting the discrepancies for additional counts or reviews.
10. Hold a minimum of a spot check on physical inventories held in the bars, food and beverage stores, galleys, and cellars every second day.
11. Monitor and control tips and bonuses to bar staff.
12. Perform any other duty as requested by superiors.
13. Compile a physical inventory routine for each food & beverage location. Verify the level of inventory at least once a cruise or more as required, daily in the Crew Bar and any other bar with high variances.
14. Prepare a voyage report at the end of each cruise to be signed by the F&B Manager and sent to the shore side office.
15. Supervise and manage the responsibilities detailed above on a day-to-day basis.
16. Spread random audits and reconciliations over the voyage and move forward with new computer installations and control procedures, while tackling systems and financial control problems as they occur.
17. Run end-of-the-day reports on all bar point of sales workstations; distribute daily sales analysis reports as required.
18. Feed figures into spreadsheets to carry out the control functions described above.
19. Review “undefined” accounts.
20. Tackle computer problems as they arise.

Minimum Requirements

1. Proven experience as Data Entry or Inventory Controller.
2. Proficient in MS Office.
3. Excellent typing and inventory skills.
