Maintenance Engineer (Renewable Energy)
Job description
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of renewable energy systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Perform detailed assessments of equipment and components, including turbines, solar panels, inverters, and associated infrastructure.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of renewable energy assets.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance activities on mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues affecting the performance of renewable energy systems.
- Execute prompt and effective repairs to restore functionality and minimize system downtime.
- Analyze performance data and trends to proactively identify potential equipment failures or degradation.
- Utilize monitoring systems and tools to optimize system efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and equipment condition.
- Generate reports detailing maintenance findings, recommendations, and completed tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the maintenance of renewable energy systems, with a focus on wind, solar, hydro, or geothermal technologies.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components associated with renewable energy systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex systems.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and monitoring systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
